As families and businesses struggle under the weight of the Great Recession, getting the economy growing again at pre-recession levels is everyone’s priority. The Politics of Abundance outlines a path that will get us past partisan politics and back on track. Written by former Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and his Chief of Staff, Reed Hundt and Blair Levin, the book explains that rather than focusing on the limited choices of how to enact austerity measures, the key to real economic growth lies in energy and broadband investments. As technologies become exponentially more cost-efficient over time, every sector of the economy will benefit from investments that make broadband and energy abundant.

The book is now available for purchase. For more from Hundt and Levin on economic policy and the hope of economic recovery, sign up to receive the newsletter and tell a friend.

  1. I just finished the book a few days ago and thought it was an extremely valuable contribution to the debate about how to get the economy moving again. Also, in the wake of Super Storm Sandy, the urgency to do something about the on-rushing climate crisis should be obvious to everyone. We need bold solutions to the problem of reducing greenhouse gas emissions if our children are going to have any future at all. And not only will your proposals address climate change, they will put people to work in the meantime!
